Salary: £31,142 - £33,197 per annum (£25,250 - £26,916 pro rata)
Hours per week: 30 hours
The working pattern: Monday - Thursday, 7.5 hours a day
Weeks per annum: 52 weeks per annum
Location: Abingdon Campus
Contract: Permanent
About the Role:
Are you passionate about empowering adults with learning differences through education? We are seeking a dedicated Coordinator to research, develop, and implement a sustainable and engaging lifelong learning programme for Adults with Learning Differences (ALD) at our Abingdon campus. In this role, you will lead the enhancement of our current ALD programme by building a dynamic business plan across various subject areas and external venues. Your work will provide exciting, meaningful short-term learning opportunities tailored to the interests and independence goals of adults with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Research, plan, develop, and implement a diverse and engaging programme for ALD learners.
* Collaborate with learners to incorporate their views and interests into programme design, promoting independence and lifelong learning.
* Line manage the ALD faculty administrator to ensure effective communication with students, parents, carers, and college staff.
* Develop strong partnerships with external stakeholders and ensure programmes remain relevant and impactful.
* Support tutors in creating personalized student profiles to optimize learning support.
* Act as the main liaison for external stakeholders, students, parents, and carers throughout placements.
* Set, monitor, and review specific learning objectives with learners and tutors, using college systems to track progress and outcomes.
* Manage health and safety procedures in collaboration with all parties involved.
* Advocate for and motivate learners, acting as a facilitator and role model.
About You
* Experience working with adults with learning differences or special educational needs.
* Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to build meaningful relationships and work collaboratively with learners, families, tutors, and external partners.
* A commitment to promoting independence and lifelong learning for adults with learning differences.
* Experience in programme development and delivery is highly desirable.
* An empathetic, patient, and motivational approach to learner support.
