Manufacturing Engineer – Electro-mechanical
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £45,000–£50,000
Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies and a passion for continuous improvement?
Platform Recruitment has partnered with an established and forward-thinking organisation specialising in the manufacture of complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full production lifecycle – from development and prototyping through to volume manufacture and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Support the Engineering team to ensure manufacturability of new designs
+ Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing instructions and documentation
+ Establish manufacturing processes that meet both design and quality objectives
+ Manage prototype and initial builds of electro-mechanical assemblies
+ Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
+ Oversee the implementation of engineering changes into production
Key Requirements:
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing role within a electro-mechanical environment
+ 3D CAD design skills
+ Familiar with SAP ERP systems
+ Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
+ Knowledge of electronic engineering principles
+ Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
