Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Specialist Eating Disorders Unit (SEDU), Kimmeridge Court, Poole, Dorset
Employment Type
Full-time (part-time hours considered).
Key Responsibilities
* Complete occupation‑focused assessments for adult patients.
* Deliver individual and group occupational therapy interventions based on evidence and person‑centred practice, supporting skills in self‑care, daily living, productivity and meaningful activity.
* Contribute to therapeutic programmes on the ward and develop specialist programmes for delivery by other professionals.
* Support discharge planning and transition back into the community.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (nursing, medical, psychology, dietetics) and with service users and carers to support safe admission, therapeutic engagement and effective discharge planning.
* Assess and respond to clinical and environmental risk, ensuring patient safety and compliance with legal and professional standards.
* Demonstrate clinical effectiveness through outcome measures, audit activity and reflective practice to support quality improvement.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with Trust and professional standards.
* Engage in clinical supervision, continuing professional development (CPD), audit or research activity.
Requirements
