We’re currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support to a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in their school environment. The Role: You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored 1:1 support for a specific pupil, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs and help them engage fully with their learning. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Providing personalised 1:1 support in literacy, numeracy, and social development Assisting in delivering and monitoring the pupil’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and engagement Building a nurturing, trusting relationship with the pupil Adapting resources and learning materials to the pupil’s needs Monitoring and recording the pupil’s progress and communicating with staff Supporting the pupil’s inclusion within the wider classroom and school environment What We’re Looking For: Previous experience supporting pupils 1:1 in a primary school setting is desirable A calm, patient, and empathetic approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexibility and a proactive attitude to supporting learning Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What Supply Desk Offers: A long-term placement in a supportive and inclusive school Competitive daily rate: £85–£100 per day, depending on experience Opportunities for continued professional development (CPD) A dedicated consultant offering ongoing support and guidance Pathways to potential permanent roles within the school Access to mental health and wellbeing resources Term-time only work – enjoy school holidays off Apply Now!
