Blacksheep Power is a newly founded company focused on designing and making the most highly engineered electric motorbikes in the world. Our innovative and patent pending Billetfluxtm technology has been developed by our engineering design team in the UK and Vietnam. Together with the Billetflowtm cooling system and the Billetpowertm overall power system, this forms a totally new overall electric power train developed entirely within Blacksheep. The prototype design has been extensively tested, and we are now ready to use this to inform our first-generation motorbike and
make it available to the UK market.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven and multi-talented individual to help set up the company, finish and qualify the first motorbikes ready for sale in 2025, then help grow the company in 2026 and beyond. The ideal person will have a wide range of technical, engineering and operational experience to be the powerhouse of getting things done. Deep financial, HR, IT and commercial experience is not required as this can be provided by the other directors in the early stages of the company.
Main tasks:
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
• Setting up our newly leased building. This will be used for completing bike and battery assemblies, as well as acting as a showcase for private customers.
• Putting in place processes to support the procurement, build, test, qualification and supply of the motorbikes.
• Working with our team in Vietnam around ongoing development and manufacturing
• Building and testing the motorbikes ready for customer delivery
• Carrying out all aspects of these processes to a high quality and safety standard.
• Pre- and post-sale technical support of customers.
• Setting and adhering to project plans and appropriate budgets. Meeting with external stake holders to update on project progress.
• Assist with the development of marketing and other customer-facing materials.
Skills and capabilities:
• Degree or extensive industry-experience in engineering, operations or similar discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience working in or with a small multi-disciplinary team to develop and deliver new technologies.
• Wide-ranging practical and hands-on capabilities required for final motorbike and battery-pack assembly.
• Experience using CAD software (particularly PTC Creo) and MRP tools would be an advantage. You should be comfortable working with mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Demonstrable experience in project management, priortisation and delivery.
• Appreciation of Health & Safety legislation, including writing and following Risk Assessments.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders in both written and verbal form.
• An interest in performance motorbikes would be beneficial but is not essential.
However, you must be willing to ride them for testing and demonstration purposes, so a motorcycle driving license is useful.
