Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Area Operations Trainer to join our team in Milton Keynes, supporting our customer B&Q. You will be part of the learning and development team, fulfilling duties related to driver assessment tasks, while supporting in a mobile capacity covering between 4 – 5 stores.
This is a full-time, permanent position, where you’ll be working Monday – Friday, between the hours of 07:00-16:00, with some flexibility required. You will have access to a company van to cover all company mileage, and due to the role's nature, overnight stays will be required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Support site inductions and collaborate with operational leaders to ensure timely and comprehensive training across all shifts annually
* Maintain system accuracy across Tachomaster, Check master, Training App, & RTITB
* Conduct professional driver assessments
* Support senior drivers/buddies in delivering standard operating practices
* Lead by example to raise awareness of escalation processes and address risks promptly
* Travel using the company vehicle and fuel card; overnight accommodation will be provided for distance stores
* Coordinate with the training department lead and Area Operations Manager to plan and deliver annual face-to-face training, using electronic sign-offs
* Support the delivery of drugs & alcohol testing programs across the business after appropriate training
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Professional presentation skills
* LGV Driver license (Cat C) essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with lorry loaders preferred but not essential
* Computer literacy
