Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional workmanship and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Lift Installer to join our team.
The Role:
As an Assistant Lift Installer, you will be responsible for assisting our lead lift installers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of lift systems. This role involves working on-site at customer locations, which may include commercial, residential, and public buildings in southwest of England, central London, and occasionally nationwide.
Responsibilities:
• Assist lead lift installers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of lift systems
• Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Carry out routine inspections and testing of lift systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in lift systems
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Be willing to travel to customer sites as required
• Keeping job sites neat and tidy
• Unloading deliveries of materials and equipment (by hand or with mechanical assistance)
• Loading and unloading the van
• Driving to various locations
• Preparing for the next task with relevant tools, equipment, and materials
• Staying away from home semi-regularly, with a focus on remaining local when possible
Requirements:
• Strong practical skills and a good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills
• A full UK driving license
