Job Description:
As Business Development Lead, you will be expected to conduct yourself with professionalism and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Your primary focus will be on Business Development for the client, supporting the internal team by leading by example, motivating staff, and helping them develop their potential. As a Subject Matter Expert in climate change and sustainability, you will lead efforts to develop and maximize the contract and consultancy experience for our clients.
You will also serve as Leader and Solution Oversight on client projects, supervising consultants and senior staff to ensure client goals are met. Additionally, you will actively seek and pursue new business opportunities to support organizational growth and strategy.
Responsibilities
Business Development
* Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for business growth.
* Lead in writing bids, developing proposals, and responding to tenders.
* Engage with clients, potential clients, and partners effectively.
* Promote the business through social media platforms like LinkedIn.
* Develop and present case studies and lessons learned from current projects.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and client contacts to identify further opportunities.
* Manage large client accounts, reporting to senior leadership.
Internal Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with senior staff, clients, and stakeholders.
* Support leadership initiatives and business activities.
* Assist with bids and securing new work.
* Represent the company at conferences, client dinners, and events.
* Manage and supervise technical staff and resources.
* Set strategic direction and oversee its implementation.
* Maximize utilization of service stream consultants.
* Manage team workloads, objectives, and performance.
* Occasional office attendance at Bristol and London offices.
