A leading international law firm is seeking an Employment Associate to join its expanding Cambridge team.
This role provides the opportunity to work closely with a Partner and Senior Associate on high‑quality matters for innovative, fast‑growing organisations across sectors such as life sciences and technology. You will also collaborate with colleagues in London and across the firm’s wider international network.
The team advises on the full spectrum of employment law, spanning day‑to‑day advisory issues through to complex contentious work, including High Court disputes. A key focus is supporting founders and high‑growth companies as they develop talent strategies, navigate scaling challenges and expand internationally.
The Work
The team regularly advises on:
* UK employment matters for global organisations and international expansion projects
* Contentious issues for employers and individuals, including Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation
* Employee relations challenges, investigations and restructuring exercises
* Corporate employment support on M&A and reorganisations
* Senior executive hires and departures
* Contributing to the growth of the Cambridge practice and the broader Oxbridge innovation cluster
Profile
* UK‑qualified solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE
* Broad experience across contentious and advisory employment matters
* Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
* Commercial mindset with confidence handling senior stakeholders
* Ability to run matters independently while working effectively within a team
* Genuine interest in supporting innovative, scaling clients
