Overview of Role We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Analyst to join the team. This role will support Loganair’s Head of Revenue, Pricing and Distribution by ensuring timely and accurate analysis of commercial and market data to maximise revenue efficiency and improve revenue forecasting within the organisation. To develop an understanding of key Commercial Systems (Passenger Selling System, Revenue Management system) and ultimately manage and optimise the systems that support Loganair’s commercial operations i.e. to trouble shoot any system issues, as well as being involved in the development of systems to enhance the internal and external customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities • To analyse and decipher large data sets, identify trends, isolate drivers, generate forecasts and provide recommendations from the commercial data.
• Transform data into formats which are easy to understand, and support with dashboards and reports providing insights which help the Commercial team identify revenue opportunities.
• Review current data mining and data manipulation processes to enhance the timely production of commercial reports.
• Assist in the forecast modelling of the network performance on a weekly basis
• Play an integral part in the supporting of the Commercial team with day to day and monthly data and be responsible for continual improvements in systems/data production to assist the department in being better able to understand analyse results/trends more accurately and timely.
• Prepare reports for external parties including the Civil Aviation Authority re Loganair’s passenger performance, Scottish Government and other stakeholders.
• Support the Revenue Management and Sales teams with ad hoc report requests and data analysis
• Monitor competitor behaviour, including schedule, pricing trends and capacity, and report on market share
• Track and analyse the performance of various commercial initiatives and campaigns.
• Develop subject matter expertise on Loganair Passenger Selling System on commercial/operational aspects and leverage and share system knowledge across the company.
• Support the Commercial team by assisting with functionality questions, addressing system testing issues, and assisting in other delivery planning activities as required
• Perform ongoing analysis and evaluate system functionality, including modifications and maintenance to ensure commercial integrity.
• Testing commercial system updates with responsibility for functional sign-off.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required

Training and Experience
Training and Experience • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics, and educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language.
• The ability to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to more senior managers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, and IBM Planning Analytics would be advantageous.
• The written and oral communication skills necessary to initiate and respond to correspondence, to make notes and minutes of meetings and to deal with other forms of communication.
• Strong analytical skills, data query skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
• The ability to work accurately with detailed information and to ensure that practical tasks are effectively implemented.
• E-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC associated networks and systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information.
