Children’s Mentor (full time, temporary)

£475 - £525 per week (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Children’s Mentor who is committed to making a lasting difference in young people’s lives. This is a powerful opportunity to work with vulnerable young people who need positive role models, structure, and encouragement to succeed.
In this role, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students rebuild confidence, and re-engage with learning. You will play a vital part in improving attendance, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes.
Working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, you will see the real impact of your work every day. If you are motivated by helping others grow, this role offers genuine personal and professional fulfilment.
Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)The ideal Children’s Mentor will have:
1. A calm, positive, and resilient approach to managing challenging behaviour
2. Strong empathy and the ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable pupils
3. A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs, behavioural difficulties, or complex backgrounds
4. Previous experience in education, youth work, mentoring, alternative provision, PRU, or pastoral support
5. A strong belief in safeguarding and child protection
