Job Description

An established, multinational engineering organisation is seeking a Gas Seals Reliability Engineer to join its high-performing UK engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a global business known for technical excellence, long employee tenure, and strong career progression pathways.

If you’re passionate about solving complex engineering challenges and want to be part of a company that invests in its people and technology, this role offers both technical depth and long-term career growth.

The Role

As a Gas Seals Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting global customers across the full engineering lifecycle - from design and manufacture through to testing and field support. You’ll act as a technical expert, solving real-world challenges and contributing to high-impact, fast-paced projects.

This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams, while also engaging directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage engineering input across gas seal support projects
* Investigate and analyse in-house test failures, identifying design improvements
* Perform and interpret engineering calculations and analyses
* Provide clear technical recommendations to support business and customer decisions
* Deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders and external clients
* Support commercial teams in customer meetings and technical discussions
* Collaborate with development engineering on bespoke or innovative solutions
* Work closely with operations to ensure smooth project delivery
* Use FEA tools and CAD to analyse issues and communicate design modifications
* Respond to technical queries with detailed and professional solutions

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and technically strong engineer who enjoys problem-solving and working in a customer-facing environment.

You will bring:

* Experience in a mechanical engineering role
* Knowledge of rotating equipment or precision engineering
* Exposure to failure analysis or root cause investigations (highly desirable)
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, GA, detailed drawings)
* Awareness of control systems and instrumentation
* Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
* Ability to manage your own workload and deliver to deadlines
* Confidence in leading or contributing to technical discussions and meetings

Experience within the oil & gas sector would be advantageous, but not essential.

Why Apply?

* Join a globally recognised engineering leader with a strong reputation
* Be part of a business with excellent staff retention and long tenures
* Access clear and structured career progression opportunities
* Work on technically challenging, high-value projects
* Competitive salary and benefits package
* Collaborative, supportive, and professional working environment
