We're working with a highly regarded UK200-listed law firm who are looking for a Risk & Compliance Officer to join their team in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AML and regulatory compliance experience, ideally gained within a law firm, to play a vital role in supporting the business and ensuring operational and regulatory excellence.
You'll be working closely with the Compliance Manager/MLRO, acting as a key point of contact for daily compliance and AML queries across the firm. This is a hands-on role suited to a confident and detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving and collaborating across departments.
Responsibilities include:
1. Responding to day-to-day AML and compliance queries including source of funds, GDPR, and firm policy
2. Liaising with PI insurers and brokers to handle claims and notifications
3. Recording complaints, data breaches and undertakings using the firm’s internal reporting systems
4. Conducting regular compliance file reviews across fee-earning teams
5. Coordinating and submitting annual returns for accreditations such as Lexcel, CQS and WIQs
