Surya Academy is dedicated to improving, increasing and promoting opportunities for children and young people in sport, fitness and physical activity.
We are currently recruiting Basketball, Football, Netball, Volleyball, Tennis, Athletics, Rugby, Cricket, Cheerleading, Dance, Gymnastics, Art & Craft, Cookery, Debate, Coding and Multi-Skills coaches to deliver a range of programs for young people aged between 3 and 18 years old. Programs include morning, lunchtime and after school clubs, PE sessions, Holiday camps and weekend clubs at schools in and around the London borough of Brent, London.
Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a key role in educating students on the importance of physical fitness and leading them in various sports and activities.
Duties:
- Develop and implement physical education lesson plans that promote physical activity and skill development
- Instruct students on proper exercise techniques and sports rules
- Organize and supervise sports activities, tournaments, and fitness assessments
- Provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices and nutrition
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall physical education curriculum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field or coaching badges.
- Teaching certification/license in Physical Education
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage students
- Experience in sports coaching and behavior management
- Knowledge of physical education principles and practices
- Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons and activities effectively
- Proficiency in English for clear instruction and communication
