Overview
Turning Point Scotland Services in Inverclyde are looking for people to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team. We currently provide Supported Living, Housing Support and Social Opportunities to a large number of people who have learning and physical disabilities and those on the Autistic spectrum.
Turning Point Scotland has provided services in Inverclyde since 2002 and has grown to work within the local area with multiple services ranging from Port Glasgow to Skelmorlie. The support we provide is tailored to suit the needs of each individual, helping with all aspects of daily living from a few hours per week to 24/7 care. Support is always person-centred, involving people who know the person well, including family and friends, other Health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members. We help ensure individual goals, aspirations and needs are met.
Responsibilities
As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of daily life (e.g., keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing).
Qualifications and Requirements
* No previous working experience required; full training will be provided.
* Right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity are essential.
* IT skills are required for all vacancies.
* Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.

Logistics
Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde services are operational throughout the full year with shifts that may include days, nights, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays including Christmas Day, New Year, Easter, etc. IT skills are required for all vacancies. The post may include personal care, cooking and housekeeping as part of the role. Where applicable, the service users will be involved in the process.
