Job description; Temporary Christmas Staff

The Role:
These are temporary fixed term positions starting early October until late December 2025 at our Inverurie site, working Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 6am - 2pm
This is a varied role involving working across both our food production and fulfilment departments to help ensure that fresh and frozen food orders are picked, packed and dispatched on time. This will involve working in a chilled environment, for which appropriate Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.
Due to the location and start time, you must be able to reliably commute to Inverurie. Overtime may be expected, which will involve afternoon/weekend working.
The Duties:
There are a variety of general operative roles across our different operational departments. Some of the main duties include the following;
· Assist with production and packing of meat and added value lines.
· Apply labels to final products in production and fulfilment.
· Prepare and pick trade orders to be dispatched.
· Box final order, chilled and frozen.
· Add ice to orders.
· Operation of any machinery required (full training will be provided).
· Counting, checking, moving, lifting, and stacking product.
· Updating of computer data where necessary for labels.
· Ensure full understanding of and adhering to all procedures relating
to task(s) undertaken.
· Ensure all personal equipment is kept good and safe working order
· Maintain quality and hygiene standards.
· Ad hoc duties to enable efficient delivery of any given process.
· Involvement with traceability paperwork.
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Previous experience within a food dispatch environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
· Ability to follow written procedures
· High attention to detail
· Able to work as part of a team, but also on own initiative
