Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Business and Governance Officer for a local authority client in East London. In this role, you will drive service improvement across housing functions by managing rent and service charge processes, enhancing governance, and supporting digital transformation and business growth initiatives. Key Duties: Oversee rent and service charge processes, ensure accurate payments and reconciliations, and produce financial reports. Lead digital transformation initiatives, streamline workflows, and implement policy and procedure enhancements. Produce performance reports, ensure compliance with regulations, and coordinate responses to complaints and FOIs. Identify service gaps, contribute to new business opportunities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience: Experience with rent and service charge administration using housing IT systems. Track record of producing performance reports and implementing service enhancements. Experience reviewing policies, handling complaints, and supporting service-level compliance. Ability to manage projects, facilitate workshops, and work collaboratively across teams.
