Role Overview
The Group Financial Crime Risk and Controls Analyst is responsible for identifying and overseeing management financial crime risks across M&G group. This role involves supporting the design, review, and maintenance of risk assessment frameworks, methodologies, and risk registers.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development and maintenance of the Group Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) framework and methodology.
* Assist in aggregating Business Unit EWRAs into a Group EWRA.
* Review and challenge the Group EWRA processes.
* Develop and maintain risk assessment methodologies for various risk types, including product, asset, market, clients, and third-party risks.
* Maintain risk lists such as the Jurisdiction Heatmap, industry lists, and restricted lists.
* Record and monitor key financial crime risks and controls.
Additional Responsibilities
* Perform other tasks as required within the scope of the role or team.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience in financial crime, especially within asset management or insurance sectors.
* Expertise in anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, sanctions, tax evasion, fraud, and ABC laws.
* Critical thinking skills to identify emerging risks and suggest control improvements.
* Strong communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
