Position
The Senior Sales Manager AM – Northern Europe will be a full-time member of the Asset Management (AM) Sales team and will work closely with regional AM leads on securing new business opportunities within Northern Europe across wind, solar, battery storage and hydrogen for Asset Management and other specialist services. The role covers technical, commercial and financial asset management services delivered by RES Asset Management, including ancillary services such as Portfolio Management, Advisory, Data & Analytics and 24/7/365 Control Room services. The Senior Sales Manager AM will identify cross-selling opportunities for other RES Services including O&M and Digital Solutions. The role provides senior sales leadership and coordination across Northern Europe, supporting Sales Managers through coaching, peer review and bid discipline, under the direction of the Regional AM Head.
Organisational Context
* Providing senior oversight and coordination across the Northern Europe Sales Manager group, focusing on priority opportunities and efficient use of sales resources
* Working with the Regional AM Head and the AM Sales Support team
* Supporting the Regional AM Head in implementing the regional AM Sales and account management strategy and contributing to wider international strategies for winning AM contracts
* Collaborating with Sales Managers and other AM sales colleagues across RES regions
* Engaging with regional leads, finance and procurement teams, and external contractors
* Regular communication with existing customers, key accounts and target clients
* Coordination with RES Services Marketing and other groups within RES Services including O&M, Digital Solutions and RES Group
Accountabilities
* Support the Regional AM Head in executing the regional AM sales growth plan and contribute to its ongoing development
* Support Sales Managers in planning and delivering sales activity aligned to regional targets
* Build and maintain client relationships, prepare and deliver presentations, and identify opportunities to submit bids
* Contribute to the development of services offered, their costs and profitability
* With the AM Global Sales Support team, manage opportunities from enquiry through contract signature and handover to Asset Management heads of department, including bid preparation and contract negotiation
* Reinforce robust bid processes, drive efficiencies, and standardise ways of working to improve cost effectiveness
* Provide peer review and quality assurance on regional AM tender responses and escalate for approval as needed
* Report on regional Sales KPIs and provide feedback on performance
* Ensure regional AM sales opportunities follow the relevant business approval processes
* Record and track opportunities and customer interactions in CRM (Salesforce)
* Identify cross-selling opportunities for RES Services
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through analysis of feedback and sales strategy insights

* Travel within the region and occasionally internationally
* Attend key conferences to enhance RES’s market visibility
Knowledge
* Knowledge of typical contents of a sales and marketing plan for selling B2B services
* Knowledge of wind/solar/storage sectors, AM clients, competitors and contractors
* Knowledge of B2B sales processes for renewable energy services
* Knowledge of key account management principles
* Knowledge of AM contractual terms
Skills
* Excellent communication skills for leading cross-functional teams and presenting services in meetings and proposals
* Strong numerical analysis skills for developing cost models under long-term contracts
* Attention to detail in reviewing AM bids and tenders
* Strong research and strategic analysis
* Good organizational skills to manage multiple tenders and activities
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
Experience
* Experience planning and delivering sales activities for B2B services
* Experience preparing, reviewing and analysing tenders and proposals
* Experience in the wind/solar/storage renewable energy sectors
Qualifications
* A degree in business, engineering, management or similar, or equivalent relevant sales experience
