We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural, great service.
* Encouraging customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Practicing safety in all tasks based on received training.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Being knowledgeable about store performance and understanding your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out at shift start and end for accurate pay.
* Keeping yourself, colleagues, and customers safe by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
* Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding quickly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Possibly running the shift in absence of Shift Leader and Store Manager.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legal compliance.
* If your store has a Post Office Local, your duties will include managing daily operations and passing necessary background checks for the Post Office role.
