Job Description:
We are recruiting for a skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join an Inpatient Mental Health Unit. This full-time locum position offers an immediate start for an initial 6-month contract, providing vital care and clinical leadership in a dynamic inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the assessment, treatment, and management of adult inpatients with complex mental health needs
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centred care
* Lead ward rounds, contribute to care planning meetings, and provide guidance to junior medical staff
* Ensure high standards of documentation, risk management, and compliance with legal frameworks
* Engage in quality improvement and service development initiatives
Requirements:
* Full GMC registration with a license to practise
* Proven experience in inpatient mental health care
* Excellent leadership, clinical, and communication skills
