This role is perfect for a proactive and compassionate Christian who enjoys connecting with our older residents and is able to engage with local churches & community groups. We appreciate that each resident has their own individual interests, hobbies and pastimes, and we support our residents to maintain this important part of their lives. They are actively encouraged to lead the lifestyle that they choose. Emmaus House is a charming care home situated in North Yorkshire that provides 22 residential care places, all with en‑suite facilities.
Responsibilities
* Engage with local churches by sending out regular newsletters.
* Visit and present to the community and local churches.
* Build relationships with local ministers, pastors, vicars etc.
* Organise and facilitate special events and outings.
* Lead a team of volunteers.
* Create monthly activities for residents.
* Coordinate and facilitate activities for family members that will be stimulating and creative.
* Engage with the wider community by organising community coffee mornings, summer fairs, open days etc.
* Additional duties when required.
Qualifications
Applicants must be evangelical Christians (This role has an Occupational Requirement to be filled by a Christian under the provisions of the Equality Act (2010)).
Hours
Working hours: 10am‑4pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events. Flexibility is essential.
