Experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant (Primary) – Thurrock
Vision for Education
Vision for Education is looking for an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work across our partner primary schools in Thurrock. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the early stages of their education.
The Role:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for primary-aged pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and social, emotional & mental health (SEMH) challenges.
2. Assist class teachers in delivering personalised learning plans.
3. Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills in a nurturing environment.
4. Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.
The Candidate:
5. Previous experience working with children in primary schools, ideally within an SEN role.
6. A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with young learners.
7. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
8. SEN training or relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
