Direct Tax Manager - Belfast - Northern Ireland Water
Join Northern Ireland Water in Belfast as a Direct Tax Manager and take the lead in managing direct tax compliance across the organisation. In this role, you will provide expert, up-to-date tax advice while ensuring obligations such as corporation tax and employment tax are met effectively. About the role:
1. £22.70 per hour
2. 37.5 hours per week
3. Westland House, Belfast
4. Temporary for up to 12 - 18 months

What you'll be doing in this role:
8. Corporation tax computations and detailed capital allowances claims.
9. Manage compliance deadlines and quarterly instalment payments dates.
10. Senior Accounting Officer reporting and Tax Strategy publication.
11. Tax forecasting and year end reporting provisions for the group.
12. Off payroll working legislation.
13. Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
14. PAYE settlement agreement and other calculations such as termination payments.
15. Build and maintain tax relationships with the rest of the tax team as well as other areas of the business to gather appropriate tax information and provide robust tax advice.
What you'll need for this role:
16. Successfully completed Chartered Tax Adviser ‘CTA’ Tax Qualification (member of Chartered institute of Taxation), with a minimum 3 years’ post- qualification experience in Corporation Tax and Employment Tax.
17. Strong accounting and tax technical skills including expertise in Corporation Tax and Employment Tax.
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a finance environment.
19. As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
