As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated Finance Manager to join our team and as we scale into concurrent clinical trials in both the UK and US.

We are an ambitious medical device manufacturer entering a pivotal phase of growth. With commercial expansion underway in the UK and US, we are strengthening our internal operations and seeking a Finance Manager who can take ownership of our finance function.
You will be the driving force behind day-to-day finance and the internal owner of our financial systems. Responsibilities include:
* Bookkeeping & Month-End: Maintain accurate ledgers, prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow updates.
* Reporting: Deliver timely, reliable financial reports to support strategic decisions.
* VAT & Compliance: Prepare VAT returns and support compliance activities across the UK (and with US advisors for US entities).
* Process Improvement: Implement and enhance financial processes and internal controls—practical, scalable, and fit for a growing business.
* External Liaison: Coordinate with our current UK and US accountancy partners; you may gradually absorb or reshape the UK firm's remit as appropriate.
* Operational Support: Work closely with the COO, taking ownership of financial responsibilities and freeing senior leadership to focus on strategic growth.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)
* Start-up or scale-up experience. You know how to build structure without bureaucracy.
* Trustworthy, personable, and highly organised; a natural steward of financial information.
* Comfortable taking ownership and operating autonomously.
* Working knowledge of Xero and Dext.
* Experience working with external accountancy firms and managing their deliverables.
* Knowledge of US accounting (GAAP, sales tax, reporting) is highly desirable.
* A pragmatic process improver; someone who can strengthen systems without overengineering.
* Part time working will be considered for the right candidate.
