Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team at the firms office on the outskirts of Blackpool. Additionally, there is an opt-in, flexible benefits platform.The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team as Senior Accountant, using your strong technical expertise to provide exceptional accounting services, building client and colleague relationships and nurturing the talents junior team members.This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm that is experiencing an exciting phase of growth and to be a part of that growth, which could lead to career progression opportunities.As Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include:Managing a dynamic portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and submissionsPreparation and submission of year-end accounts, Corporation Tax Computations, VAT Returns, and Confirmation StatementsBuild and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisorManaging client expectations, arranging closing meetings to finalise accountsMentor and support junior team members, providing training and feedback to help them develop professionallyOversee the preparation of client deliverables, including accounts, tax, PAYE, and VAT, ensuring deadlines are metAct as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance on technical issues and client queriesHandle client queries promptly and professionally, and give clear advice, ensuring satisfaction and loyaltyAssist with audit work at busy times of the year if necessaryEnsure the quality of client files and audits is maintained to the highest standardPlease do apply for this role if you if the following matches your skills and experience:Be a qualified practice accountant (ACCA/ACA/AAT) or QBESignificant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice is essentialProficiency in accounting softwareExcellent communication skillsExperience in managing and/or mentoring junior members of a practice teamProficiency in navigating professional regulations and best practicesSelf-motivation, attention to detail, and adaptability to evolving business requirementsSubmit your CV for this Senior Accountant roleUnfortunately, we cannot accept applications for this role from candidates that do not have the right to work in the UK, or require visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
