Location: Cornwall (reporting to Staverton Depot, actual working location is Carland to Chiverton Cross)
Salary: From £12.21 - £12.50 per hour
Contract Type: 12 months Fixed Term Contract, Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 am to 17:00 pm
About the Role
Are you passionate about the environment and looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking multiple skilled and enthusiastic Landscape Operatives to join our team in Cornwall for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for permanent positions!
In this role, you will be instrumental in planting trees along the A30 between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross, contributing to a vital environmental project. Your efforts will help create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces that enhance the landscape while protecting our precious environment. We are particularly eager to welcome local workers who share our commitment to enriching Cornwall's natural beauty.
Your Responsibilities
* Planting trees and maintaining outdoor spaces.
* Minimizing environmental impact while enhancing natural surroundings.
* Collaborating with a dedicated team to achieve project goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Previous experience in a landscape role or similar background.
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* A willingness to learn and work effectively in a team.
* A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
* CSCS card preferred (can be obtained prior to start with successful certification).
* Must pass a drug & alcohol check and undergo a medical at induction.
* A can-do attitude and a safety-conscious mindset.
