Job Description:
Thank you for your interest in joining our team! Qurate Retail Group comprises six leading retail brands – QVC, HSN, Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Garnet Hill and Grandin Road – all dedicated to providing a more human way to shop. Qurate Retail Group is the largest player in video commerce ("vCommerce"), which includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate Retail Planner to join our Home team here at QVC UK. You will be part of an exciting, unique and dynamic business, joining the largest player in video commerce, which includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms.
Featuring the right products at the right time of day is crucial in maximising sales. At QVC UK, we pride ourselves on being different from the run-of-the-mill. Reporting to a Planning Manager, you will serve as an essential link between Buyers and our Platforms, ensuring the long-term profitability of airtime and products, and maximising sales opportunities in the short term.
Who We Are
QVC empowers shoppers with knowledge and shares insights in a lively, engaging way. We offer an ever-changing collection of familiar brands and new products – from home and fashion to beauty, electronics and jewellery. We connect shoppers to interesting personalities, stories, and provide award-winning customer service. Worldwide, QVC reaches more than 200 million homes via 12 broadcast networks and additional streaming services, websites, mobile apps, and social pages. In 2021, QVC International served 4.7 million customers and employs over 7,000 team members across the UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, Poland, and China.
Your Impact
* You will work with buyers and be responsible for your own product area, conducting in-depth demand and sales analysis to determine optimal product positioning.
* You should have experience in sales and inventory analysis within merchandising or stock management.
* You will be commercially minded, creative, numerate, and proficient in Excel, capable of performing complex functions. Forecasting sales budgets on seasonal, quarterly, and weekly bases will be part of your role.
What You Bring
* Experience working in a retail environment, possibly as a junior merchandiser ready for the next step.
* Ability to collaborate with others and influence decisions when necessary.
* Flexibility and comfort with change, as live environments can present unexpected challenges.
