Facilities Engineer (Weekends) - Mars Wrigley, Plymouth
Location: Plymouth (PL6 Estover)
Responsibilities
* The monitoring and operation of all critical facility plant for factory operations, including but not limited to production air conditioning, boiler and steam supplies, air compressors, and central chiller plant.
* Work closely with the site reliability engineer to highlight concerns and ideas for future asset investment and provide technical support for utility projects from planning through to final implementation.
* Plan and schedule all legal inspections within the facility department, ensuring full documentation is maintained.
* Manage reactive work, troubleshoot, and apply root-cause methodologies.
* Facility contract management duties, including completion of risk assessments.
* Continually improve the facility SAP PM system and ensure transactions are robustly captured in SAP PM.
* Drive reactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
* Proven experience in diagnosing and fixing industrial boilers, steam pipework and water systems.
* Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems, compressors, chillers, boilers and dehumidifiers with minimal guidance.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualifications such as served apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ or equivalent.
* Excellent organisational and strategic planning skills.
Key details
* Shifts: Sat & Sun rotating days and nights 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, plus additional hours (32/36 hours per week).
* Salary: £45,633 - £51,337 (inclusive of shift allowance)
* Company performance bonus: 8%
