Job Description:
Harrogate Ladies' College is seeking a Fees Manager to cover maternity leave starting early July 2025. Reporting to the Finance Director, this key role involves managing all accounting processes related to parent and pupil ledgers, including billing, payments, and debt management. The role requires excellent numeracy, organizational, and customer service skills, along with the ability to handle sensitive data discreetly.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing termly fee invoices
* Maintaining records of scholarships and bursaries
* Coordinating with staff to record pupil 'extras'
* Managing administration for NYCC headcount, census, and funding
* Recording payments, processing direct debits and standing orders
* Responding to parental queries professionally
* Chasing debts and managing communication
* Meeting with parents regarding financial issues
* Finalizing accounts for pupils who leave
* Collaborating with Admissions for new pupils and deposits
* Maintaining debtor lists and reconciling accounts
Person Specification:
* GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade A-C)
* Strong communication, organizational, and IT skills
* Experience in bookkeeping and similar roles preferred
* Ability to handle confidential information and meet deadlines
