An Electrical Engineer is required for a large multi-million pound project in Plymouth. Based on site full time you will be part of an exciting new team responsible for maintaining the building.
Summary of duties:
Maintain the safe and effective operation of Mechanical and Electrical building services, systems, and equipment on site Carry out routine inspections, servicing, maintenance, and record-keeping in accordance with relevant procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements - SFG20, NHS HTM’s, and all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements. Support the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment and infrastructure. Undertake repairs and maintenance (PPM) activities within the scope of training, competence, and authorisation. Complete planned maintenance activities and ensure all associated documentation is accurate and up to date. Respond to reactive maintenance requests and equipment faults in a timely and professional manner. Perform duties in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, and applicable legislation. Participate in out-of-hours support arrangements where required. Maintain accurate records and complete work-related documentation promptly. Carry out all tasks safely, professionally, and efficiently. Adhere to health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements at all times.
What’s needed to apply!
Relevant electrical qualifications Ideally you will have a background working on healthcare /NHS projects with an understanding of the regulations and compliance required
Practical experience in a related engineering or maintenance role. Working knowledge of building services and associated systems. Experience carrying out inspection, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair activities. Familiarity with participating in on-call or out-of-hours support arrangements. Understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices. Strong communication and customer-facing skills. Proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting. Ability to identify issues, determine appropriate solutions, and complete repairs effectively.
