Job overview

Would you like to work for an organisation who can offer a range of exciting and challenging opportunities for people who are passionate about making a difference to the patient experience?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Compliance and Assurance Team at Royal Preston Hospital. Our team is responsible for assuring all RTT standards are analysed and reported accurately in line with national standards.

Our role is to make sure the patient journey is as stress free as possible by providing accurate data to all medical specialities thus ensuring they have all the key information to improve patient treatment times. The way we do this is to track the patient from referral to the final treatment, which requires the candidate to analyse a large amount of patient pathways on a daily basis.

Ideally you will have previous NHS experience however this is not a prerequisite for the role. You will have knowledge of the RTT standards and have a keen eye for detail when analysing data.

You will receive a full and detailed induction and training schedule on starting the post with opportunities for development.

If this sounds like you then we look forward to receiving your application.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for supporting the implementation and delivery of the RTT target for all specialities within the organisation which will in turn improve the patient’s experience and further reduce waiting times.

You will support daily operational implementation of the RTT pathway by validating data to ensure accurate reporting and assist in the identification of procedural issues affecting the patient’s pathway.

You will monitor and maintain the operational PTL and contribute to service improvements

You must be hard working, possess good oral and written communication skills, have good computer skills and be flexible to the needs of the department.

You may be required to work across sites as we have an additional office at Preston Business Centre which is located 1 mile from Royal Preston Hospital. There are regular free buses between sites.

Working for our organisation

We have 10,000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients. Whatever your role, you help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.

Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done. You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.

You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care which means your role is pivotal and something really to be proud of.
