JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Exam Coordinator oversees the Exam Proctoring Center (EPC) and helps to arrange and coordinate the exam schedule for students who have testing-based academic accommodations. The Exam Coordinator must have excellent customer service skills, pay keen attention to detail, and have strong time management and organization skills. This is a non-exempt 10-month position.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Facilitate and coordinate exam accommodations by:
1. Preparing exams for students by adhering to instructor guidance.
2. Resolving student questions and concerns, and de-escalating stressful situations.
3. Setting up assistive technology for test-taking.
4. Scheduling exams for students needing alternative testing times due to conflicts in their schedule.
5. Working with professors to create class entries in the ClockWork scheduling software.
6. Returning exams to faculty and staff.
7. Maintaining a calm testing environment.
8. Upholding academic integrity and test security protocols within the testing environment.
Develop and grow a well-rounded Exam Proctoring staff through:
9. Hiring, training, and supervision of student workers to assist with exam proctoring.
10. Planning the exam proctor schedule for student workers.
11. Assigning credentials for student workers in ClockWork.
12. Developing standard procedures and focusing on continual process improvement.
Support administrative efforts by:
13. Monitoring and responding to the Exam Proctoring Center email.
14. Maintaining case files and confidential student records.
15. Managing seat availability in the ClockWork scheduling software.
16. Discarding exams once the academic term is completed.
17. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
18. Bachelor’s degree.
19. 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment that demonstrates punctuality, accountability, and initiative.
20. Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail.
21. Ability to resolve complex problems and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
22. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
23. Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
24. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
25. Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn and navigate new software.
