Job Description
As a Project Manager on the Infrastructure Project Management team, you will deliver multi‑disciplinary complex projects in the water sector across the Southeast, Southwest, London and Midlands. Projects include the £88bn AMP8 investment period for Water Companies and nationwide programmes with the Environment Agency focused on flood risk management, climate resilience and environmental protection.
What you’ll do
* Support the successful delivery of multi‑disciplinary complex projects within collaborative delivery teams.
* Client‑side project management, including stakeholder, H&S, risk, quality, schedule and contract management.
* Ensure projects and commissions meet client satisfaction for quality, cost and time.
* Support and manage the project team, ensuring adequate resources and meeting client and business requirements.
* Actively manage subcontractors and resources remote from the core team.
* Develop strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional team members.
Qualifications
* Infrastructure project management experience (Water industry experience desirable).
* Experience with NEC suite of contracts, especially PSC and ECC.
* Experience working as part of an integrated, multi‑organisation collaborative team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Highly motivated with a growing industry network.
* Relationship‑building skills – able to build strong relationships with clients, teams and stakeholders, and maintain business contacts.
* Ability to work independently and under guidance of Senior Project Managers and Associates.
* Team player with a ‘can‑do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible.
* Experience within a client organisation, directly or via co‑location/secondment.
* Excellent IT skills and proficiency with current digital tools.
* Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
Education, Professional Qualifications & Development
* Relevant degree in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction or related field, or demonstrate equivalent industry experience.
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contract management.
* Project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2 desirable.
* Chartered or working towards chartered status with a professional body (MRICS, APM or CIOB) desirable.
* Subject to security screening checks as required.
