UWE Bristol is one of the largest universities in the South West and one of the largest employers in the Bristol region. We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our Finance, Estates and Corporate Services team (FECS), working closely with colleagues across the University and gain valuable experience in a large organisation.
The Finance Business Partnering team with FECS provides financial reporting, review and advice to the University’s Colleges and Professional Services, working closely with leaders in the Colleges Service leaders so helping them and the University to make decisions on provision of outstanding teaching and research, to plan future development and activities, whilst meeting the financial and other challenges that the Higher Education sector faces.
Assistant Finance Business Partners (AFBP) are an integral part of the team. The work is much more than budgeting and reporting. The AFBP is imaginative and supportive as the Colleges and Services seek to further their high-performing, values-driven reputations. The position is ideal for those seeking varied experience and careers in large, complex organisations, knowing that they are supported by a strong team of finance staff at various stages in their own career development.
About You

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week. We expect the successful applicant to cover a minimum of 0.8 FTE in order to ensure continuity of support to stakeholders.
UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is vital to our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus based for at least 60 percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
