Job responsibilities
We are looking for a professional, confident Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) at Wallace Hospital who can lead, inspire, and oversee the delivery of the very best care.
You will be working 42 hours a week (12-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday one week, and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday the following week) at Cygnet Wallace Hospital. This is a 10-bed specialist high dependency complex care service providing assessment and treatment for individuals with learning disabilities, with or without autistic spectrum disorder, as well as complex needs and behaviors.
The team can also support those with additional mental or physical health needs, including detained individuals under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act. We accept emergency referrals and the team is experienced in managing them efficiently to ensure smooth transitions for service users.

Key responsibilities include:
* Providing the highest standard of nursing care and serving as a role model for junior staff
* Coordinating all clinical aspects of the ward and ensuring cooperation between departments
* Implementing policies, procedures, and regulations
* Ensuring policy compliance among staff
* Supporting staff through debriefs, appraisals, training, and development based on evidence and research
* Participating in the on-call system to provide support outside normal hours
* Leading by example to maintain high standards of clinical care and documentation
