Job Title: HR Administrative Assistant (Temporary, Hybrid) Location: Cambridge Salary: £25,500–£29,000 (Temp) | £30,000 (Permanent opportunity) Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week About the Role We are looking for a proactive and organised HR Administrative Assistant to join a busy HR team in a prestigious Cambridge-based organisation. This temporary role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain broad HR experience, with a view to a permanent position at £30,000 per year. You will provide comprehensive HR administration support across the full employment lifecycle, including recruitment, compliance, employee records, and general HR tasks. The role requires presence in the office at least three days a week, with the flexibility for hybrid working. Key Responsibilities * Assist with recruitment and selection processes, including preparing job adverts, shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews, and issuing offer letters. * Maintain accurate HR records and the Single Central Register in line with compliance and GDPR requirements. * Support onboarding and induction of new employees, including pre-employment checks. * Act as first point of contact for HR enquiries, monitoring HR inbox and providing general administrative support to the HR team. * Support HR processes including absence monitoring, payroll changes, staff wellbeing, and reporting. * Assist with formal meetings, staff briefings, exit interviews, and archiving of HR records. Skills & Experience * Experience in an office-based administrative role, preferably within HR. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confident using business systems. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and approachable manner. * Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Desirable: * Experience in HR processes and using HR systems. * Understanding of employment legislation and compliance in recruitment.
