Salary: £34,263 to £36,649 p.a. depending on experience and qualifications
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are one of the country’s largest Citizens Advice organisations delivering advice and advocacy services to tens of thousands of people every year. We deliver services by phone, digitally and face to face, in multiple locations and to some of Sheffield’s most vulnerable communities. We also influence local and national policy and are committed to increasing the opportunities for those who use or need our services.
We’re looking for a Solicitor or CILEx with practice rights in advocacy and litigation to supervise our housing advice team and legal aid contract. The team offers complex casework and representation to clients facing possession, eviction, serious disrepair and housing issues related to domestic abuse and violence and to anti‑social behaviour. You will have 3 years’ PQE in housing law and be able to manage a wide range of cases, as well as experience of working under a legal aid contract, supervising caseworkers, and meeting targets.
Requirements:
* Solicitor or CILEx qualification
* 3 years’ Post‑Qualification Experience (PQE) in housing law
* Practice rights in advocacy and litigation
* Experience working under a legal aid contract
* Ability to supervise caseworkers and manage a wide range of cases
