Job Description

1. Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
2. Apply the highest quality standards in all areas of responsibility.

5. Proactively plan and multitask to maximize productivity.

7. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
8. Possess technical understanding of building construction and engineering.
9. Have demonstrated experience with full project lifecycle from bidding through completion.
10. Ability to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
11. Manage staff and outside contractors.
12. Read, understand, and execute construction specifications and plans.
13. Manage construction budgets.
14. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
15. Manage multiple projects concurrently.
16. Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
17. Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
18. Assist in managing subcontractors.
19. Review construction drawings for accuracy.
20. Represent owner in project meetings.
21. Review pay applications.
22. Participate in continuing education (conferences, ABC classes, internal trainings).
23. Assist in designing new or renovated building spaces.
24. Participate in real estate due diligence.
25. Assist or manage purchasing of equipment or fixtures.
26. Travel as needed to support remote sites.
27. Support senior/principal project manager or equivalent with project management.
28. Assist lead project manager with activity schedule preparation.
29. Manage single- and multi-prime contractor projects with support from more experienced project managers or leadership.
30. Assist with preparation of bid documents.
31. Assist with review of bids.
32. Prepare site communications to impacted entities/people.
33. Communicate effectively with client staff members.
34. Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
35. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. At least two years of previous construction experience required.
3. Technical degree in a trade discipline like engineering, fabrication, sheet metal design, etc., is preferred.
4. Experience with building design and previous laboratory work experience is a plus.


Additional Information

Position is full-time, working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
