Configuration Engineer Level 1 – Join the SCC team.
Role Purpose
To ensure configuration orders are processed according to agreed industrial standards and customer instructions.
Key Responsibilities
* Aligned to Asset and Main Configuration services.
* QA all own asset work.
* QA configuration work not selected for spot check.
* Test and configure products to customer’s specific requirements within agreed group timescales.
* Test and configure products to manufacturer instructions ensuring satisfactory operation.
* Assist others proactively or upon request to maintain service levels and efficiency.
* Escalate non‑conformances to Supervisor/Management within agreed timescales.
* Capture required build data and status updates on relevant business system.
* Undertake Health and Safety activities commensurate with SCC Group Health and Safety Policy.
* Handle equipment of varying weights and sizes in line with manual handling guidelines.
* Work to KPI varying depending on configuration, order type and weight of items.
* Assist Configuration Manager in daily running of Commissioning Complex and any other duties as necessary.
* Adhere to Configuration Centre ISO accreditations standards.
Skills And Experience
* BTEC/NVQ in PC/Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
* CompTIA A+ or demonstrable ability in handling IT equipment in a similar role/capacity.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Adapt to changing technologies and learn new systems quickly.
* Follow documented procedures with precision and process in a timely manner.
* Must obtain required Security levels to meet operational requirements of the role.
