About us
Blacketts Medical Practice is a well-established andsuccessful surgery serving approximately 11,500 patients. Our clinical teamconsists of five GP Partners and three salaried GPs, supported by an excellentnursing team and a stable, experienced and friendly administrative staff. Weconsistently achieve high QOF scores and were rated Good in our most recentCQC inspection. The practice uses SystmOne clinical software.
The practice operates from spacious, purpose-built premiseslocated centrally in Darlington. The building also accommodates privatephysiotherapy and chiropody services. Our facilities allow us to host a rangeof allied professionals, including social prescribers, pharmacy technicians andmental health practitioners. This co-located, multidisciplinary approachenables close collaboration and enhances the care we provide to our patients.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree
* GMC registered with a licence to practise
* Completion of GP Specialty Training (CCT) or equivalent
* Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List
* Evidence of ongoing professional development beyond minimum requirements
Experience
* Sound, up-to-date clinical knowledge across the breadth of general practice
* Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
* Ability to manage workload effectively within agreed clinical sessions
* Understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding and quality improvement
* Experience or interest in developing a special clinical area (e.g. minor surgery, womens health, joint injections, chronic disease management)
* Experience of working in a training or teaching practice
* Confidence using SystmOne or similar clinical systems
