Residential support worker

Ross-on-Wye
Aspris Children's Services
Residential support worker
Posted: 27 July
Offer description

At Aspris, we believe that all young people deserve the best chance to grow, develop and receive support that prepares them for a bright future. Our Residential Support Workers are crucial in helping us to achieve our vision.

What the role looks like

As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide emotional support to our young people and assist with day-to-day activities such as washing, dressing, and getting to school. If you work a weekend shift, you will spend less time on-site at the home, as the activities are often held elsewhere—think theme parks, bowling alleys, cinemas, and zoos. You'll have so much fun that you'll almost forget you're at work.

Our homes accommodate young people with autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. While challenges may arise, our Residential Support Workers build strong relationships and create lasting memories, which are highly rewarding when seeing young people overcome difficulties and make progress.

Due to the location of the service, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.

Grosvenor House is a registered children's home for up to 3 young people. We aim to enhance daily living experiences and activities tailored to individual needs, making these moments meaningful and memorable.

Who we're looking for

We're seeking compassionate, friendly, and genuinely caring individuals who want to give our young people the best possible chance to succeed.

If you:

* Thrive as part of a team
* Are resilient, patient, and understanding
* Have a natural ability to make people smile
* Are always willing to listen
* Enjoy film nights, baking, or Xbox gaming

No experience with children? No problem! We provide full support and training, including fully funded qualifications, to help you build a fulfilling career.

What's in it for you

We offer a supportive and collaborative environment where you can grow professionally and find fulfillment in helping others. We are flexible with hours to accommodate your needs.

Benefits include:

* Healthcare cash plan, wellbeing support, and loans
* An exclusive rewards and benefits platform
* High-street and online discounts via Blue Light Card
* Cycle to work scheme and gym membership
* Refer a friend bonus scheme
* Learning and development opportunities
* Flexible hours

Learn more in our guide to benefits and pensions.

If you're ready to join a values-driven organization that puts children first and cares for its employees, we want to hear from you.
