The Waste Operations Supervisor will support the Contract Manager by overseeing the day-to-day running of the recycling yard, supervising 3 day-shift operatives and 2 night-shift operatives. The role involves liaising with internal and external waste providers to ensure waste streams are removed and containers emptied as required. Hours: 40hrs per week Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri, 06:30-14:30 Pay: £15.12 per hour Overtime available Interviews: 19th & 20th February Start date: week commencing 16th March Your core responsibilities. Supporting Contract Manager by supervising recycling yard operations of 3 x day workers and 2 x night workers Liaising with internal and external waste providers to ensure waste and containers are emptied when required Capturing and recording all data accurately as required. Operating machinery which include Forklift, Compactor and Balers. Collecting and running waste from lineside to recycling yard Upholding all Health and Safety and company procedures Signing in at the beginning of every shift and signing out at the end of every shift Reporting Accidents, near miss and incidents in a timely manner. Reporting any issues to the Team Leader, Supervisor or Contract Manager that could impact the operation. Ensure correct PPE is always worn whilst on site. Customers site policy and procedures are adhered to at all times in line with Biffa’s.
