We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Fitness and Wellbeing Instructor to join our team in Stevenage. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about health, fitness, and helping others achieve their personal goals. You'll play a key role in supporting our members with tailored training, wellbeing advice, and encouragement, creating a positive and engaging environment where people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilities Management: Support the day-to-day running and development of facilities, ensuring equipment, services, and areas are properly maintained and delivering a consistently high level of service.
* Health & Safety: Comply with all legislation, policies, and procedures; take an active role in risk assessments, COSHH compliance, and implementing agreed action plans to ensure the safety and welfare of all users.
* Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer care, resolve queries positively, promote activities, and create a welcoming environment that enhances the member experience.
* Fitness & Programmes: Oversee the gym and equipment, ensure members are screened and inducted, provide tailored programmes, and support the class schedule to meet customer needs.
* Financial Responsibility: Work within budgets, help achieve income and sales targets, and maintain accountability for takings and financial processes.
* Teamwork & Development: Work effectively as part of a team, contribute to staff training and development, maintain open communication, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
* Level 2 Fitness & Level 3 Personal Training (Yoga & Pilates desirable)
* Knowledge of Health & Safety, legislation, and industry guidance
* Numerate, computer literate, and confident with systems
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Client-focused with a professional standard of personal presentation
* Able to prioritise workload and work independently with minimal supervision
