Expanding our UK operations, we are looking for a Grid Connection Manager. Responsibilities : Manage utility scale solar PV and/or BESS projects; Providing technical assistance during project development for all factors influencing and influenced by the grid connection; Performing technical due diligence/ Risk assessment on grid connection scheme/ grid offers received from DNO/TNO; Providing cost estimates and grid connection delivery time, schedules to business development; Managing and being responsible for the process for grid applications, ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner and progress through the DNO/TNO processes; Maintaining relation the DNO/TNO to support grid application; Reviewing technical designs for MV/HV and establishing preliminary designs; Managing contractors and suppliers of different elements required for grid connection; Negotiating and developing grid connection designs; Providing general grid expertise and grid intelligence; Managing certification process of grid connection; Commissioning of MV stations and management of contractors to commissioning HV stations; Ensuring Protection testing is done as required and managing contractors and service providers for protection testing. Requirements : Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; Experience in grid connection; Knowledge of MV and HV and Protection concepts; Experience in MV and HV construction management; Knowledge of Grid connection standards like the VDE-AR-N 41xx series; TABs and other relevant standards; Simulation knowledge is a plus; Switching permit is a plus. Driving license; Good communication skills, Negotiation skills; Very good skills in English, spoken and written.
