Pay: £50,000.00 - £52,000.00 per year Job description: Technical Manager Calleva Nutrition – Full‑time (39 hours) Holidays: 25 days 8 bank holidays Reports to: COO Manages: Quality Team Leader & NPD Manager About Us Calleva Nutrition is a fast‑growing contract manufacturer specialising in the formulation, blending and packaging of nutritional supplements and health products. We are BRCGS AA accredited and committed to delivering high‑quality, safe and innovative nutrition solutions for our customers. We are now seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our Quality and NPD teams. What You’ll Do Maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System and HACCP. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and BRCGS AA standards. Lead on all customer and third‑party audits, ensuring documentation is accurate and up‑to‑date. Provide technical advice to customers, suppliers and internal teams. Oversee new product development, customer trials and scale‑ups. Approve artwork and support new product launches. Conduct supplier audits and maintain supplier/raw material specifications. Work closely with production and commercial teams to ensure all products are safe, legal and meet specification. Drive a strong internal audit programme. Lead and develop the Technical and NPD teams, including KPIs, 1:1s and appraisals. What We’re Looking ForEssential Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical/Quality Management role. Strong understanding of food legislation, chemistry and microbiological requirements. Experience in product development and retail/international standards. Level 4 HACCP & Level 4 Food Safety. Lead Auditor qualification. Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Desirable Experience in a senior technical leadership role. Knowledge of ISO14001/45001.
