Learning Support Assistant (TA2) Required as soon as possible Permanent, 27.5 hours per week (worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday) Term time only 4 teacher education days (TEDs) Salary Scale TA2 (points 5-6) We have two vacancies within the Learning Support Team. Role 1 – To work predominately with Lower school 8.40am – 15.20pm Role 2 – To work predominately with Sixth Form 9.40am – 16.20pm The main purpose of the role is to support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of children, including those with special physical, emotional and educational needs, by utilising detailed knowledge and specialist skills. This is a great opportunity to join our team of experienced and motivated LSAs. Experience and knowledge of working in a classroom environment with young people who have very special learning, emotional and behavioural needs (SEN) would be beneficial. You may be required to work 1:1 to support a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or support a student who may have physical difficulties, ensuring they access a broad and balanced mainstream education. The salary is paid at TA2, points 5 to 6, (£25,583 – £25,989 full time equivalent). The actual term time only salary will be £16,628 pa, which may rise an increment to £16,892 pa.
