Hybrid – Glasgow Position Overview The approving authority plays a critical role in ensuring the design integrity and safety justification of defence infrastructure, systems, structures, and components. Role Summary As part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, the Electrical Engineer will support both current operations and future programmes across multiple sites. You will work alongside Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Building Services, Electrical, and Piping Engineers to develop, assess, and maintain Engineering Design Substantiation for nuclear facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Author, develop, assess, maintain, and manage nuclear infrastructure design substantiation documents. Manage and approve design changes and concessions. Present design substantiations to nuclear safety committees. Develop and maintain EIMT schedules, procedures, and results to satisfy safety case requirements. Produce and review Periodic Review of Safety reports. Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
