Daily Rate: £32,916 - £45,352 (Paid to scale)
Days: Monday - Friday, Term Time Only

A specialist independent school in Nottinghamshire is looking for a full-time Design & Technology Teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils aged 8 to 18 with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.
The setting blends academic, practical and vocational learning within a highly supportive, therapeutic environment where relationship-building and personalised teaching are central to student progress.
They are ideally seeking a teacher with a woodwork specialism, although they are open to Design & Technology teachers from all backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons tailored to a wide range of ages and abilities
Create practical and skills-based learning opportunities, promoting student confidence and independence
Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, ADHD and SEMH
Work closely with staff to ensure pupils feel supported
Provide constructive feedback that supports personal and academic development
Maintain a safe, organised and inclusive workshop and classroom environment
Key Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs are welcome to apply
Experience or interest in working with pupils who have SEN/SEMH needs
Strong communication and the ability to build trust and rapport with young people
A flexible, creative and resilient approach to teaching
Woodwork specialism preferred, but all DT disciplines considered
