We’re looking for a Technical Production Manager to join our Manufacturing team and take ownership of delivering production schedules, driving operational excellence, and leading a team to success. This is a pivotal role where you’ll be instrumental in achieving our business goals while fostering a culture of quality, cost control, and timely delivery. What You’ll Be Doing: Operational Leadership Ensure products are manufactured to customer specifications and delivered on time. Manage budgets, stock levels, material usage, waste, and productivity. Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S and process analysis. Collaborate with Quality, H&S, Customer Service, and other departments to optimise operations. Maintain quality assurance standards and drive continuous improvement. Team Management Lead, motivate, and support production teams and cell leaders. Partner with HR to identify training needs and support staff development. Recruit and onboard production staff, including temporary hires. Be a visible, hands-on leader with a pragmatic approach. Communication & Collaboration Foster strong communication across teams and departments. Hold regular team briefings and ensure business updates are cascaded effectively. Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Health & Safety Ensure compliance with all H&S regulations and support risk assessments and incident reporting. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a manufacturing management role within a complex product environment. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes. Practical experience with Lean techniques (5S, TPM, SQDCP). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Certificate in Operations or Management Studies. Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100 or TS16949. ERP/MRP planning and scheduling experience. IOSH/NEBOSH certification desirable.
